A Visit to Salzburg, Austria, Birthplace of Mozart

SALZBURG, AUSTRIA — Images of composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are ubiquitous in this historic city. Mozart was born in 1756 and worked under the patronage of Prince-Archbishop Hieronymus Colloredo until he moved to Vienna at age 25. Apparently, he chafed at the restrictions placed upon him by the archbishop and either quit or was fired. Still, Salzburg proudly claims him as a hometown fellow who made good.
